Welcome to Watts Bar Maritime and Amateur Radio School

We prepared and teach all elements necessary for you to obtain your Amateur and Commercial FCC license. The applicant is responsible to choose a COLEM or Amateur VE team of their choice to be tested.


Who Needs a Commercial Operator License?

You need a commercial operator license to operate, and/or to repair and maintain, specified ship, and aircraft radio communication stations. The licensing requirements for operating such radio stations and the licensing requirements for repairing and maintaining such radio stations are available upon request. 



We are located in Ten Mile, TN and we offer local and national study/testing preparation for:

        (You must successfully pass written element 1)

        (You must successfully pass written element 1 & 3)

        (You must successfully pass written element 1 & 7)

        (You must successfully pass written element 1,3 & 9)

        (You must successfully pass written element 1,3,7 & 9)

        (You must pass written element(s) 1 & 6  & Telegraphy element(s) 1 & 2 ) 

       (You must pass written element 8)


Amateur Radio exams required:

           (35 Questions minimum to pass 26)

           (35 Questions minimum to pass 26)

           (50 Questions minimum to pass 37)


Commercial licenses does not have an expiration date, however Amateur Radio licenses have a ten years term with a 2 years and one day "grace period"
